After Dec. 31, 2012, this policy will also be enforced on the 9 remaining provinces, incl. North Holland, hence including Amsterdam.
The mayor of Amsterdam strongly opposes the ban, as about 1/3 of the Amsterdam tourists do visit to buy or smoke cannabis in the coffeeshops.
