Held throughout July and August, the Robeco Summer Concerts Series is an integral part of Amsterdam's summer cultural calendar.

Dedicated to diversity, the series brings together some very special performances from the classical realm and beyond. Jazz, world and pop music all feature on the Concertgebouw line-up, while there’s also a programme of productions especially for children.
Classical concerts

This year, the concerts will lead the audience to the summery Bohemia that's the home of Antonín Dvořák and his compositions, as well as on a little weekend trip to the Vienna of Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert and Bruckner. Further on the itinerary: a trip to the romantic warmth of France, past Ravel's beautiful works and the mystery of Debussy.
Sizzling highlights

The jazzy side of Robeco's summer programme comes to life in the Robeco JazzClub which includes performances by Dutch saxophonist Benjamin Herman and summery jazz from the Castel/Van Damme Quartet. Popular music makes an appearance with performances by singer-songwriter Wouter Hamel, Sabrina Starke and Mathilde Santing, who sings a selection of works by Sinatra while world music isn’t forgotten with performances by stars including Carmen Souza and Pekka Kuusisto.
Culinary delights

All this musical diversity should clearly not be taken in on an empty stomach, but thankfully even that is catered for. The Robeco Summer Restaurant in the Concertgebouw offers a three-course dinner and smaller appetites are catered for at the Summer Café. There’s also the chance to grab a glass of bubbly and some sushi in the intermission.

Head to the Concertgebouw website for full programme information.
